Twitter is... AMAZING, to say the least. My account for this class is new, but I personally am not new to the app, I have been on twitter (a personal account) for about 4 years now. It is an extremely informational application that I use on the daily. Using Twitter for this class specifically has been quite educational, I never considered using the app for school purposes. In doing so I have seen a side of Twitter that I had never considered. Some accounts I have found to be fundamental to myself and the course are @Seaturtle, @OrcaSOS, @SylviaEarle, @DolphinResearch, and @RSPCA_LabAnimal. The topics I decided to tweet about were closely related to the TIMES articles we were assigned to read. One of the tweets I published was on mourning pig skinks, which I desire to further research. Some retweets I did were regarding mistreatment of animals, spreading awareness of homeless baby birds as well as some quirky animal posts. I learned that Mountain Lions are being killed in large quantities in LA by cars and rat poison, as well as the decline of fish in the Pacific Ocean. I feel more than comfortable using the platform, I am just adjusting to using it for educational purposes.

Hi Itzia!
I'm a new Twitter user so it was fun exploring the app as I used it. I think it's such a cool way to learn, and I didn't realize how much information gets shared on the platform. Based on the accounts you followed, I assume you're interested in sea animals? It's also great that you've already found an area of research you'd like to explore.
